The meteors
The Meteors are a British psychobilly band formed in 1980. Originally from the United Kingdom, they are often credited with giving the psychobilly subgenre—which fuses punk rock with rockabilly—its distinctive sound and style. Though the origins of psychobilly are debated, The Meteors are the first band to self-identify as psychobilly, and often hold the distinguishment of being the only "pure" psychobilly band among fans of the subgenre.
Fans of the band (known as the World Wide Wrecking Crew (WWWC)) are known to use the slogan, "Only The Meteors are Pure Psychobilly," (often shortened to "OTMAPP") as a rallying

Madness
- Madness - One Step Beyond
[/list]One Step Beyond... is the 1979 debut album by the British ska group Madness. It was ranked 90th in a 2005 survey held by British television's Channel 4 to determine the 100 greatest albums of all time. The album peaked at number 2 and remained in the British record charts for over a year. One Step Beyond... has a much heavier ska influence than later Madness albums. It was also the first album produced by the team of Clive Langer and Alan Winstanley, who would go on to work with groups such as Elvis Costello and the Attractions, Dexys Midnight Runners and They Might Be Giants, as well as producing all but one of Madness' subsequent albums.

Zebrahead
Zebrahead
he band was formed in 1996 by guitarists Justin Mauriello (formerly of Once There), Greg Bergdorf (who was formerly of 409), bassist Ben Osmundson (formerly of 3-Ply), and drummer Ed Udhus (formerly of 409). All four musicians, whose bands at the time shared the same practice space, found themselves experimenting with different sounds together and soon became friends. After deciding that they wanted to explore their musical options further, Greg, Justin, Ben and Ed quit their previous bands and Zebrahead was formed.
The group who were inspired by acts including Fugazi and The Descendents, found themselves uninspired by the local trend towards ska-punk and instead began incorporating elements of hip-hop into their sound, eventually recruiting rapper Ali Tabatabaee to join their ranks.
After issuing the self-titled EP Zebrahead (also known as The Yellow due to the cover) on the indie label Doctor Dream Records in May 1998, Zebrahead signed to major label Columbia Records to release their full-length debut, Waste of Mind, which appeared later that same year. The band’s follow up album Playmate of the Year was issued in mid-2000 and the Stupid Fat Americans EP followed the next year as an exclusive release for Japan.
Zebrahead headed over to Europe with Green Day to support the records and played various festival dates as well. Throughout the years, they also shared gigs with bands like Less Than Jake, Kottonmouth Kings, 311, MxPx, Reel Big Fish, Unwritten Law and Goldfinger.
Three years after having released a full length album, MFZB (aka Mother Fucking Zebrahead Bitch!) appeared in 2003, which the band spent the majority of their time promoting overseas in Japan where the record soon went gold. Zebrahead found themselves performing at various festivals including Summer Sonic Festival and Punkspring, as well as headline shows throughout Japan. During this time the band started to take on more of a heavier more punk sound rather than a hip-hop funk-rock sound.

The Blind Pigs are a punk rock band formed in 1993 in the city of Barueri, Brazil with influences as Forgotten Rebels, Misfits and Ramones. The band took a break in 2005.
The band's first album, "São Paulo Chaos", was produced by Jay Ziskrout, former-drummer of Bad Religion. Blind Pigs has opened shows for established punk rock bands such as Dead Kennedys and NOFX. This band is now known as Porcos Cegos, which is Portuguese for "blind pigs".

The Scare
with groove and coated in sleaze, oozevoodoo takes
all the frustration, soul-searching and hard yakka
of the past few years and rewires it. Since forming
on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast in 2003, The Scare
have partied hard and toured even harder. They’ve
flown around the world by the seat of their pants
survived in the freezing back alleys of Birmingham
England, sleeping on couches or on floors or in
gutters. They returned to Australia and released
their full-length debut, Chivalry in 2007, only to
have it fall largely upon deaf ears, thrusting the
group into a period of intense self-scrutiny
Oozevoodoo is the answer to what ails ‘em. A quantum
leap from Chivalry, it is neither a carbon copy of
anyone else, nor a mere pastiche of The Scare’s
influences. Featuring a heavier attack, simpler
rhythms and more ambitious vocal melodies that
circumvent the traditional, the lyrics to each song
act like mini scenes in a wider epic. The
reinvigoration of The Scare also marks the
production debut of Silverchair / Dissociatives
supremo Daniel Johns. Having formed a special bond
after meeting at a mutual friend’s studio, Johns
invited the group to spend some time at his
Newcastle home, which is where the initial seeds for
oozevoodoo were sewn. In December 2008, the band and
Johns spent 10 days recording at Mangrove Studios on
the NSW Central Coast, assisted by well-respected
local engineer Chris Townend (Augie March, Art Of
Fighting, Portishead). Johns’ aim was to help bring
out The Scare’s essence in terms of both punk
attitude and pop aptitude, capturing the new batch
of hook-laced tunes in a pure, warts ‘n’ all
fashion. In December last year, the band and Johns
spent 10 days recording at Mangrove Studios on the
NSW Central Coast, assisted by well-respected local

New York Dolls
The New York Dolls are an American rock band, formed in New York City in 1971. In 2004 the band reformed with three of their original members, two of whom, David Johansen and Sylvain Sylvain, continue on today and have released two records of new material. The original bassist, Arthur Kane died shortly after their first reunion concert.
The band's protopunk sound prefigured much of what was to come in the punk rock era; their visual style influenced the look of many new wave and 1980s-era glam metal groups, and they began the local New York scene that later spawned the Ramones, Blondie, Television and Talking Heads.
